Vision

Each artistic medium has the same goal of expressing an idea. Musicians, dancers, visual artists, actors, stage designers, and artists of all backgrounds strive to convey their ideas through their individual talents and techniques.

But what if those artists weren’t separated by the boundaries of different media and genres?

When we combine the color and texture of visual art with the moving energy of dancers to a soundscape of live musicians, we create an immersive experience more powerful than any one media on its own. When the excited energy of improvisation combines with the constructed power of a script, each art can enhance and complement the best parts of the other. Chamber Music with Friends is founded with the idea that when all types of art and artists come together, their power is greater than the sum of their parts.

In pursuit of this unique and immersive artistic experience, Chamber Music with Friends invites artists of all backgrounds into the same room to work together as Friends in creating new and fun projects.

We invite the next generation of artists out of the practice room or studio and onto the stage with us. We encourage them to expand their own creative and collaborative opportunities beyond those in the classroom as we mentor them, feature them, and serve as role models for them to engage with each other and the community.

And, most importantly, we invite you, our audience, to take part in this journey with us. We want to share the story of our collaboration, the idea behind each of our projects, and introduce you to emerging young artists each step of the way as we all get to know each other as Friends.

Mission

Chamber Music with Friends fosters collaboration between musicians, artists and organizations in order to be a leader in unique, engaging and high quality artistic experiences for our community, and to serve as role models and mentors for the next generation of artists to do the same.

Values

We facilitate collaboration between artists of different backgrounds who may not normally meet in order to create new artistic experiences.

We foster the next generation of artists by featuring, coaching, and collaborating with young artists.

We promote the success of existing arts organizations by showcasing their artists and sharing their upcoming projects.

We involve our audience by sharing the stories behind all of our projects and collaborations and invite them to get to know all our artists as individuals during each show and through our website and blog.
